Cycling the Carretera Austral in Chilean Patagonia

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

This fifth cycling tour takes us back to our beloved lands of Patagonia.  This time, we will be riding one of the most beautiful and remote roads in the world.  We will be riding from mid-January through the month of February, which is the height of summer in Patagonia.  The route, known as the Carretara Austral or Chile's Ruta 7, is 1,240 kilometers (770 mi) from Puerto Montt to Villa O'Higgins, and passes through mulitiple national parks, verdant temperate rainforests, hanging glaciers, glacial lakes and, of course, towering Andean peaks.
