We left Senderos Patagonia Lodge early, knowing we had a challenging ride ahead. Today marked the end of most pavement, with the majority of our journey shifting to ripio, which presents a whole new set of challenges—more technical riding, dust from passing cars, and increased time needed to cover distances. This meant that traveling from town to town for lodging would not be feasible, and we were entering an area where occasional camping would be required.

Despite being mostly on ripio, today's ride turned out to be fantastic. Traffic was lighter than expected, and we rode through gorgeous mountains and along a vast river valley until we arrived at Camp Doña Dora.

The campsite was not a traditional campground but rather a farm with open space where Dora, the owner, welcomed mostly cyclists to pitch their tents for a small fee. It was the first time we set up our new tent on this trip, making the entire experience of camping quite amusing. We settled in for a nice evening under the stars and a bit of a restless night sleep in what is a pretty small two person tent:).
