Day 21: Stunning

February 13, 2026. Puerto Bertrand to Puerto Guadal. 19 miles.

It was a short ride today, but we were mindful of how gorgeous it was when we passed through this section of the Carretera on the way down just a week ago. We knew we would have great weather and wanted to enjoy the ride. It did not disappoint! Here are some of the many photos we took:

We stayed in Puerto Guadal along the south western shore, just opposite where we stayed in Mallin Colorado, eight days ago, in an awesome dome or iglu along the lake. It provided us with amazing views. The only problem was, there happened to be a big fiesta in town that night where a band played from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM! Their music, a combination of Mexican-style Mariachi bands and German Ooomp-pah-pah, was accentuated with an emcee who bellowed as if he were announcing at a luche libre wresting show! Needless to say, very little sleep happened for us that night.
