After an amazing day off at the Mallin Colorado Lodge, today’s ride was truly awe-inspiring. Although it was only 14 miles and should have taken about 1.5 hours, it ended up taking us well over three hours to complete—not due to the weather, which was perfect with a clear sky and summer temperatures that felt like a welcome relief from our previous ride. Instead, we were captivated by endless photo opportunities along the way.

Although we faced a couple of steep and challenging climbs, we were rewarded with magnificent views of glaciated peaks and stunning vistas of Lake Carrera, Lake Bertrand, and later, the Rio Baker. I have never seen clearer or more majestic water in my life.
Tonight, we are staying at the Green Baker Lodge in Puerto Bertrand, which sits on the shore of the Rio Baker. It's a peaceful and tranquil place to unwind after a leisurely day on the bike. I must add that the purity, crispness, and taste of the water from the Rio Baker might be some of the best drinking water on the planet.
